Dawn
Dawn is a first-of-its-kind energizing formulation of cannabinoids and terpenes engineered to help you face the day. Sourced from the highest quality GMO- and pesticide-free hemp, each 1-ounce bottle contains 300 mg of full spectrum CBD, high levels of THCV, and a terpene blend of Eucalyptol, Pinene, Limonene and B-Caryophyllene.
Pair it with Dusk. U.S. shipping only.

Known for its energizing and uplifting properties, tetrahydrocannabivarin, or THCV (not to be confused with the infinitely more famous THC), is a minor cannabinoid with major potential. Combine it with Eucalyptol, Pinene, Limonene, B-Caryophyllene, and the highest quality, non-GMO and pesticide-free full spectrum CBD and you’ve got the perfect way to start your morning.
Like Dusk, our nighttime tincture, Dawn was formulated by Dr. Alex Capano, who holds the first doctorate in cannabinoid science. And like Dusk, it was engineered to meet your needs: in this case, to give you more motivation, clarity, and speed when you wake up—or at any other point in the day.
OK, I’m intrigued. But do you lab test your products?
Dawn is tested for potency, contaminants, and quality three times before being packaged and shipped to you, and is both 3rd-party and batch tested. Every bottle of Dawn comes stamped with a unique lot number which you can use to look up the test results of your specific batch. If you're curious, our most recent lot number is 20W3284, and you can find the COA for that here.
How do I use Dawn?
Squeeze a full dropper of Dawn under your tongue and hold it for 30-60 seconds before swallowing. If you want to take more, take more. If you want to take less, that’s fine, too. Everybody (and every body) is different.
What should I expect?
How and when you see the benefits of taking Dawn depends on a number of factors, including how fast your metabolism works and how much you weigh. Most people will feel a difference within a day or two of beginning a morning regimen, but for others it may take up to two weeks, so please be patient (and consistent).
Will this get me high?
No. Neither CBD nor THCV (nor terpenes, for that matter) will get you high. That said, please be mindful that full spectrum CBD products can trigger false positives for drug tests. If that is a concern, please feel free to email us at hi@gossamer.co for more information on that.
Great, that’s good to know. But what are CBD and THCV?
CBD and THCV are cannabinoids. All humans (and all vertebrates, actually) have what is called an endocannabinoid system (or ECS, for short.) Your ECS is made up of receptors found throughout your body—in places like your brain, spinal cord, and digestive system, among others—which help keep your internal systems in balance. (Science calls this “homeostasis.”) These receptors respond to cannabinoids—both ”endogenous” ones that humans produce and “exogenous” ones that we get from greenery, like, say, cannabis.
Got it. CBD is a cannabinoid. But what does it do?
Unlike THC, CBD is non-intoxicating (read: it won’t get you high). CBD also operates a little differently. Instead of binding directly to your ECS receptors, it merely stimulates them, which in turn impacts how other cannabinoids bind to those receptors—and how your body reacts to them. Preliminary research shows CBD is effective in modulating pain and decreasing anxiety, both of which go a long way toward some of CBD’s other benefits. It’s also a potent anti-inflammatory.
What about THCV?
THCV is a cannabis-derived naturally occurring compound. Like all cannabinoids, there needs to be a lot more research into THCV, but it has been found to promote energetic and alert feelings, as well as decrease anxiety, especially around panic attacks. Rodent studies, general cannabis studies, and anecdotal evidence have shown that THCV can increase metabolism, decrease appetite, and boost satiety, so we caution those who may already have difficulty eating to be mindful of these potential effects.
Due to federal regulation, most cannabis research was stymied until very recently, but things are rapidly changing here in the U.S., and in countries like Canada and Israel. That said, we’re not comfortable making any medical claims without 100% proper evidence, so we encourage you to speak to a medical professional if there is concern on your part. We’ll be sure to update this page once more studies come out either way, and you can always email us at hi@gossamer.co with any questions.
I've heard people talk about the "entourage effect." What is it?
The “entourage effect” is when cannabinoids work in concert to increase their therapeutic benefits and effects. Think of it as the cannabinoid version of “it takes a village.” It’s also why we recommend full spectrum products (not just ours) over isolate ones.
Why a tincture?
The most efficient way to take CBD is sublingually. But this doesn’t mean just taking a dropperful and swallowing it. As we say in our directions, you should hold it under your tongue for at least 30 seconds (and ideally 60) for maximum absorption, and then swallow. Ingesting CBD directly (in food or drink) means processing it through your liver, and you lose up to 70% of the active cannabinoids that way (and put an unnecessary tax on your liver).
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet, but please email us at hi@gossamer.co if you live outside the United States and are interested in Dawn or Dusk. We’ll make sure to keep you posted on availability.
What is your return policy?
We offer a refund for products returned to us within 30 days of original receipt that haven’t been used or damaged. And while we want you to love Dawn as much as we do, we also welcome feedback. Please email us at hi@gossamer.co. We'd love to hear from you.
What if I have more questions? Email us! We'll do our best to answer any questions you might have, even if they have nothing to do with Dawn.
